Gratuité de la Carte d’Identité Biométrique : Une Bonne Nouvelle pour les Célébrités et Citoyens Guinéens dès le 14 Avril 2025

Published:

Starting this Monday, April 14, 2025, Guinea enters a new administrative era with the official launch of free issuance of the Biometric National Identity Card (CNIB) for all first-time applicants. This move has been widely welcomed across the country, including by public figures, influencers, and Guinean celebrities.

This major shift stems from a presidential decree (D/2025/021/PRG/CNRD/SGG) and a joint order from the Ministries of Territorial Administration, Security, and Foreign Affairs. The goal is clear: to make legal identification more accessible, especially for young people, artists, athletes, and public personalities whose frequent travel often requires up-to-date official documents.

For Guinean celebrities, this decision couldn’t have come at a better time. Many local music and film stars have long voiced their frustration on social media over slow administrative procedures. Now, with this free service for first-time applications, there’s no excuse not to carry your CNIB!

Figures such as Grand P, Singleton, and Djely Kaba Bintou could potentially become ambassadors of this new enrollment campaign. By speaking out on their platforms, they could inspire thousands of young people to head to the registration centers starting on launch day.

Required Documents

However, citizens will need to present a few documents to benefit from this free issuance:

To obtain a digital birth certificate:

  • Previous birth certificate
  • Transcribed supplementary judgment (if applicable)
  • PN-RAVEC identification form

To obtain the identity card itself:

  • Digital birth certificate

Local authorities, including Presidents of Special Delegations and Central Police Commissioners, have been mobilized to ensure smooth and effective implementation of this operation nationwide.

An Opportunity Not to Be Missed

Combining media visibility with administrative simplicity, this initiative is a meaningful boost for Guinean youth, entertainment professionals, touring artists, and anyone looking to travel, vote, or start a business.

See you this April 14 at 10 AM at the enrollment centers — make your identity your strength!
