Djene Kaba Condé: The Dead Body that Makes People Debate Unnecessarily

Died in France on April 8, 2023, the dead body of the former first lady of the Republic of Guinea, Hadja Djene Kaba Condé continues to create controversy in the city and on social media.

The controversy around Hadja Djene Kaba is not a matter of today. We remember the day of the investiture of Prof Alpha Condé for his famous 3rd term for some and 1st term of the 3rd Republic for others when a place not worthy for a first lady was reserved for Djene Kaba. It was murmuring everywhere that Hadja Djene Kaba was not happy with the place reserved for her.

The fact that Alpha Condé did not live with her in Sékoutouréyah and that he was rarely accompanied by her on occasions amplified the uproar. Almost everyone felt the discord between him and his wife.

Despite what is being said around the dead body of the deceased first lady in the favor of Alpha Condé as a husband, there was not as much cohesion as there should be between a man and his wife even before their overthrow of his government.

It seems that the lack of cohesion between him and his wife was worsened after their overthrow. At least, this is what can be deduced from the behavior of Gnalen Kaba, the daughter of Djene Kaba Condé when spreading the recording of her stepfather on social media.

Being too naive and unaware of what she was doing, Gnalen really sold her soul to the devil by putting the sound recording of her "father" on the public square to create this unnecessary controversy which should not be.

As Muslims, the burial of a woman is authorized and ordered by her husband, or at least this is what imams ask before praying over the dead body of a deceased woman in our traditions.

Confiscating her mother's body and thus depriving her of the last tribute and support of her husband, Gnalen Kaba defied all customs and norms in Guinea to deserve the insults she is receiving today. She has made uncertain enemies which will impact her life forever.

We should rather pray for the rest of the soul of our illustrious deceased before inflaming social media with these useless debates.

May the soul of Hadja Djene Kaba Condé rest in peace!
